About Melissa Green

Melissa is a former Assistant United States Attorney with over 7 years of experience as a civil prosecutor working on various fraud cases. She also served as the Civil Health Care Fraud Coordinator for the Southern District of Texas for over two years. Of the many fraud cases Melissa investigated and prosecuted, one involved a cardiac PET scan company that settled for over $85 million dollars. She is also the recipient of numerous U.S. Attorney awards and received a special recognition from former FBI Director Christopher Wray for her work.

While she was an Assistant United States Attorney, Melissa was also an adjunct professor for the U.S. Attorney Clinical Lab where she supervised and mentored students through various projects in real civil fraud cases.

Prior to her work at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas, she was an associate at the international law firm of Baker McKenzie in Houston where she was in the Intellectual Property practice group and focused primarily on patent litigation. She also clerked for the Honorable Christine A. Nowak in the Eastern District of Texas after law school. Melissa is admitted to the Texas State Bar.
